About Us

The Renaissance at Colony Park Half Marathon & 5K is a race event owned and directed by Marathon Makeover, LLC. Under the leadership of Mark and Robin Simpson, the Renaissance Half Marathon has been Mississippi’s largest half marathon for two years in a row and is on track to hold that distinction for a third straight year. In 2009, the Renaissance drew over 1,500 runners from thirteen states and has a 98% “would recommend” rating from its participants.

The Renaissance Half had its beginning as a race event for the training participants of Marathon Makeover. In 2008, this event was established to provide a memorable race experience for their participants and it was also opened to the public. The event was an immediate success with the stunning environment of Renaissance at Colony Park, Marathon Makeover’s commitment to excellence, and the friendly spirit of southern hospitality.
